Stefan Ederer is Senior Economist at WIFO and has been working in the Research Group "Macroeconomics and European Economic
Policy" since 2007. His activities include the analysis and forecasting of Austrian and international economic developments,
macroeconomic modelling and the impact analysis of economic policy. He is research group coordinator (2011-2013 and since
2021), was deputy coordinator of the FP7-EU project WWWforEurope (2012-2014) and contributed to the Joint Economic Forecast
of Germany (2013-2018). Stefan Ederer prepared numerous studies for international and national clients. He holds a PhD in
Economics from the WU Vienna and a MSc in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration from the Graz University of Technology.
He was a guest researcher at the Universities of Cambridge and Leeds (UK) and lectured at the WU Vienna and the University
of Vienna. Scientific work has been published in Cambridge Journal of Economics, Review of Income and Wealth, Structural Change
and Economic Dynamics, Review of Keynesian Economics, Metroeconomica, Journal of Post-Keynesian Economics, Empirica – Journal
of European Economics, and International Review of Applied Economics.
