Auf der Grundlage der Konsumerhebung 2019/20, die alle fünf Jahre von Statistik Austria erhoben wird, sind im ersten Teil
der Arbeit die Konsumausgaben der Pensionshaushalte näher beleuchtet. Im Mittelpunkt steht auch die Veränderung des Konsumniveaus
und der Konsumausgabenstruktur zwischen der Konsumerhebung 2015/16 und der jüngsten Erhebung. Im zweiten Teil der Arbeit wird
die Abgabenbelastung der Pensionshaushalte mit direkten Abgaben und konsumabhängigen Steuern beleuchtet.

Consumption Structure of Pension Households
Based on the 2019-20 consumption survey, which is conducted by Statistics Austria every five years, the first part of the
paper takes a closer look at the consumption expenditure of pension households. The focus is also on the change in consumption
levels and the consumption expenditure structure between the 2015-16 consumption survey and the most recent survey. In the
second part of the paper, the tax burden of pension households with direct taxes and consumption-based taxes is examined.
